Tonight, we sample the work of some local authors, ranging from harrowing memoir to historical fiction. Pulitzer Prize winner Mike Stanton profiles the pride of Brockton, heavyweight champ Rocky Marciano, in his biography Unbeaten: Rocky Marciano’s Fight for Perfection in a Crooked World. In Call Me American, Abdi Nor Iftin details his amazing journey from the war zone of Mogadishu, Somalia to Maine. Author Bill Martin sends his character Peter Fallon off on a sixth fictional adventure, this time to the California Gold Rush in Bound for Gold.
